Mooncakes are more than just the Cantonese-style mooncakes many people are familiar with. 🥮

This is a Shanghai-style savory mooncake (鲜肉月饼) — a traditional pastry especially popular in Shanghai and the surrounding Jiangnan region.

Unlike the sweet, dense fillings of Cantonese mooncakes, Shanghai-style fresh pork mooncakes are wrapped in layers of delicate, flaky pastry and filled with juicy, seasoned pork. They’re best enjoyed warm, when the crust is crisp and flaky and the filling is still tender and savory.

In China, mooncakes are incredibly diverse. Different regions have developed their own styles, flavors, textures, and traditions — from sweet to savory, soft to flaky.

That’s one of my favorite things about Chinese food: one “mooncake” can tell so many different regional stories. ❤️

Snowflake Crisps are a popular Asian handmade confection with a texture between nougat and cookies — soft, chewy, milky, and crunchy in every bite. Made with marshmallows, milk powder, crackers, peanuts, dried cranberries, and freeze-dried strawberries. They are perfect for gifting or enjoying with tea or coffee. Milky, soft, crunchy, lightly sweet.

Ingredients: Marshmallows, butter, coconut oil, milk powder, Ritz crackers, Oreo cookies, peanuts, dried cranberries, freeze-dried strawberries, freeze-dried dragon fruit powder, freeze-dried ube powder, matcha powder, cocoa powder.
Allergy Information: Contains wheat, milk, soy, peanuts, tree nuts (coconut), egg.
