Turkstra Bakkery – Proud Sponsors of the Amazing Race Potchefstroom
Once again, Turkstra Bakkery is standing shoulder to shoulder with our community for the Amazing Race on 5 December 2026. These true locals have been with this great community event from the very beginning, and this year they are putting up a fantastic total of R2 500 in vouchers as prizes. That is pure heart for Potchefstroom.
For more than 90 years (since 1935) the Turkstra family has been baking with passion and serving our town with quality and warmth. They don’t just sponsor events — they live the community spirit every single day. When a business consistently shows up for local fun, families and good times like this, the best way we can say thank you is to support them right back.
Pop into either of their two convenient shops and stock up on all the lovely products that make Turkstra a Potchefstroom favourite:
Freshly baked soft buns, Crispy pies and mini chicken pies, Sausage rolls and savoury snacks, Classic milk tarts (melktertjies), Sticky koeksisters, Famous hoefies, Cupcakes, caramel tarts and other sweet tarts, Scones, muffins, biscuits and cakes, Pannekoeke and more delicious sweet and savoury treats perfect for breakfast, lunchboxes, parties, functions or just for snacks.
Whether you need padkos, office treats, a party platter or something special for the family table, Turkstra has it fresh and baked with love.
