🦕 Every once in a while, I finish a cake and think, "14 years ago, I would never believe I made this."
Back then, I was looking for any excuse to practice.
Potluck? Cake.
Family birthday? Cake.
Happy friend? Cake.
Sad friend? Cake.
New neighbor? Cake.
I wasn't building a business!! I was building skills! Every cake taught me something. Every celebration gave me another chance to try something new.
Looking back, the growth didn't happen overnight. It came through hundreds of cakes and many mistakes,
Today, I'm so thankful!! Not only for how much my skills have grown, but for every customer who has trusted me to be part of their special moments. Your support has allowed me to keep doing what I love while continually growing in this craft.
This little dinosaur cake is one I'm especially proud of. Not because it's perfect, but because it's a reminder of how far the journey has taken me.
Looking back, I realize I wasn't building a bakery all those years ago! I was just finding every excuse possible to love people through cake. And somehow, God turned that into this. 🩷
