10 YEARS OF COWBELL 🥳
Here’s Cheryl and KK outside of our first brick and mortar on Market St in Leesburg, VA.
Initially this was our production kitchen for the markets and we were open for breakfast and lunch 5 days a week. Upstairs we had a cozy dining space and Saturday brunch was our jam!
A lot of memories from this era. We miss our KK every day🌻

this past weekend is a typical weekend of combining work with pleasure for me. Scrolling instagram Sunday morning and Cowbell Kitchen had the yummiest breakfast sammie photo…so naturally, that started the Sunday plan as we were supposed to head out Route 15 to pick up something perfect for Rusty, the truck. A Cowbell Kitchen visit started our day with scrumptious breakfast sandwiches and a share blueberry muffin (OMG!), a little bubbles for me (of course), and an “orange in a glass” as Mr. Rust and Refind described his best orange juice ever. That led to a visit to Waterford Corner Store (we love their shop in Waterford) where me met lovely Aimee Flowers and Flagstone and bought a few goodies for our girls birthdays and Christmas. The last few years Mr R&R and I have gathered goodies for our girls throughout the year by and finding the best things.

Headed up 15 to visit our favorite human in the whole world, Yvette FOUNDRY (where we also have a few things from her lovely shop for our girls…aren’t our girls the luckiest ever? 😂) and a quick pop in to Garden Gatherings at The Old Lucketts Store finished our -ing . I love these kinds of B-bop days, and hope you had a wonderful weekend as well. When you , you and meet the best people; see, eat, buy and experience the best things, and keep your thriving.

Together, Cheryl, a baker of 30 years, and Bre, a marketer, keep Kaeley’s dream going at their King Street spot, making sweet-smelling cakes, cookies, pastries and pies on top of cheese and bacon filled breakfast sandwiches, avocado toast, quiche, buckwheat pancakes and that incredible Farm Bowl!

Je ne l'avais pas vue mais il y a une piste cyclable de plus de 40 miles (65km) qui rentre directement dans DC 🤗
Le tout est de trouver une route la plus plate possible pour l'atteindre. Et bien, ce n'est pas simple. Ça monte et ça descend dans cette séduisante Virginie ! Mais je l'atteint finalement après avoir admiré de fabuleuses fermes et villages chargés d'histoire de la guerre de Sécession (Civil War en anglais).
Après un délicieux Veggie Burger au Cowbell Kitchen de , et un peu de travail (je fais une analyse stratégique pour une petite société, j'adore ça !) à l'ombre le temps de laisser passer la chaleur intense, je suis toujours aussi surpris de voir tant de vue sauvage sur les bords de cette piste délicieusement aménagée (bancs, eau potable, poteaux pour s'étirer...).
Je termine en traversant le pont sur le Potomac menant au quartier de Georgestown pour arriver chez mes nouveaux amis Manola et Stephen, qui m'attendent pour tester leur recette de Tacos qu'ils veulent pouvoir faire lors de leur prochaine sortie vélo-camping. J'adore faire le cobaye dans ces cas-là 😉
