Is it Spring yet? Kidding…I’m actually pretty excited that we finally got snow in Northern Virginia! But the kids can go back to school now…

I can’t complain. I’ve very much enjoyed my time off these last few weeks just getting to be “mom”. It’s been a blessing to not have to multitask too much (outside of the normal motherhood stuff).

My oven will be staying off for awhile longer as I soak in this time to just “be”, especially as we approach Lent. If this past Advent taught me anything, it’s that thinking you can do it all and still find time to rest is a big fat lie and totally no fun…for anyone.

We all need a moment to breathe and I’ve been so blessed to be able to take a step back and enjoy what’s going on around me and right in front of me. It’s a beautiful view, even if it’s currently covered in snow!

P.S. how adorable are these cookies that were for a dear friend of mine who welcomed her beautiful baby in December?! 😍

It’s graduation season!…in case you’ve been wondering where I’ve been 😅

Thanks to my incredible customers, I don’t have a moment to spare from now until July! I am so, so grateful for all of this small biz support! I’ll try to post as I go, but with all of my plates swirling, it’s better I focus on decorating and less on social media!

That said, I’ve decided to take a short break from custom orders for awhile. (Don’t worry if you’ve already got an order with me - you’re good to go!) In the next few weeks, be on the lookout for my decorating workshop lineup. I’ll be focusing more on the teaching side of things. I love to get the face time with all of you!!
