Happy June everyone! You can find me and other great vendors at Gilbert's Corner Farm Market on Saturday and Sunday, 10-3:30, year round. Lately, I have been trying to keep my baking to pies and biscuits. So, if you want anything else, you should order it by Wednesday from my website/online store www.hotapplepie.com. Just a reminder, you can get most pies in large, medium, or small.

Here's what I plan to make for this weekend. Some of these are things that other customers have ordered and some are what I hope to get made. Sometimes it's a challenge to complete the wish list after all of the orders come in, but I try.

Zombie Pie - Graham cracker crust with chocolate ganache`, chocolate mousse, chocolate cookie crumbs and the Zombie Desert Coffee from Bluemont Coffee. *This is one of my best selling pies.

CAKES
Hummingbird Cake - got in trouble last week with people because I didn't have it!
Pound Cake - goes great with fresh strawberries. My favorite way to eat this is to cut up the strawberries and pile them on the pound cake, then pour a little heavy cream over the top. Don't sweeten it, don't have to whip it either. It absorbs into the cake and compliments the sweet strawberries just right. Sooo good!

This is Memorial Day weekend. The farm market at Gilbert's Corner is open Saturday and Sunday for your picnic necessities. There's pie, bbq, farm raised meat, deviled eggs and much more. I'm the pie person, but the market has a lot more to choose from.

The farm market at Gilbert's Corner is in full swing on Saturdays and Sundays. There are new vendors joining the regulars every weekend. You can order ahead from me and pick up at the market by going to my website/online store and placing your order by Wednesday. Here is some of what I will have available this weekend. This is a long list of good intentions, and we all know how this will turn out. I'll stress myself out and get about 1/2 of this made. As more orders come in, the list keeps changing. Oh well, I try hard to get it all done.
