Find us at Gilbert's Corner Farmer's Market on Saturdays and Sundays! We specialize in homemade pies. All of our pies are made by hand with fresh ingredients and each pie is individually made.

We will be at the Gilbert's Corner Farm Market on Saturday and Sunday. I am not taking orders for Christmas, so this Saturday 12/14 and Sunday 12/15 are the last two days to pick up an order. I'll be at Gilbert's Corner Farm Market this Saturday and Sunday. If you go to the Middleburg parade(s), you can stop on your way to the parade for a cinnamon roll and on your way back and get a pie, pound cake, or other treat and pick up your Christmas tree while you're there! It sounds like a perfect family day full of fun while you're making memories.

Happy Thanksgiving. I have a lot to be thankful for this year. My business is back up and running in a whole new way. I'm baking in a shared kitchen with a lot of other talented chefs. I have my own space and freedom to come and go as necessary. I don't have a store front except on weekends when I'm selling at the Gilbert's Corner Farm Market. I am loving this! It's a world of difference in the most wonderful way. I never imagined my life taking this direction, but it's great. Ask me again after sitting outside in the 30 degree weather this weekend. I may have a slightly different perspective. This market runs year round, so I'll just have to adjust and be prepared for whatever the weather is.

I have my first cookbook published and it's ready for sale either at the farm market, or online. The link is https://www.createmycookbook.com/products/602485_621553_R. This link will take you to the publisher and they will ship the book directly to you. You'll get it faster than I do. But, as long as I still have printed copies, you can buy them from me.

This time last year, a lot had changed and I felt like I was just picked up out of my life and put down in someone else's life. I was trying to figure everything out. I think I will always be grieving for the loss of my husband, but the change in business is a blessing and I'm very grateful for everyone who supported me until I figured it all out.

I guess the moral of this story is never give up! Every day I tried to do something in a positive direction, no matter how significant or small it was. Sometimes it was just doing the laundry, and sometimes it was working on the cookbook. Anyway, thank you all for being there for me.

There were lots of events going on all around us today, but a lot of people still made it to the farm market at Gilbert's Corner. It's wonderful to sell out, so I'll be up extra early tomorrow morning to start over making pies and cinnamon rolls for Sunday's market. I'll be making a variety of apple pies, sour cherry, sweet potato pies and cinnamon rolls. Plus, the new, and very popular apple and sour cherry hand pies. I'm exploring new flavors in the hand pies. Any suggestions?

It's a little late in the day for these photos, but I'll post it anyway. If you are wondering who these other folks are, that's Bridget from Big Kyle's BBQ and Doug from Angelic Beef (hope I got that name right). They are some of the great vendors at this market that you should come and visit. Come by and check them out!

I am really loving the direction that my business has taken. Doing farm markets is just what I needed! It's a pleasure to be at Gilbert's Corner selling my pies on Saturdays and Sundays. I love to see some of my customers from the bakery come to catch up with me.

You can either stop by and see what's available, or as always, you can order ahead through my website and pick it up at Gilbert's Corner as long as you order by Wednesday. The list of available pies is on the online store. This list changes from week to week and you should check it out on a regular basis.
