The ToastFace era has come to an end, but fear not, we will still be a weekly vendor as .bakery with an all new setup, new menu items and the same great handmade sourdough bread and pastries you’ve come to love! And don’t worry, we’ll be in the same spot next to in front of Clementines Creamery

What this means:
No more Bougie Toast (mostly). We will still run specials from time to time, but we are refocusing our made-to-order menu towards efficiency and portability. Bougie toast was fun, but far from our best seller. (We couldn’t help but share some of our favorite creations from the last 2 years, bittersweet as it may be)

We have a griddle! And it slays! With it we’re bringing on two new weekly menu items, the Market Melt and Grilled Bread Pudding, but more on that later.

If you want to stay up-to-date with specials, weekly pastry offerings and all the rest, follow our page .bakery if you don’t already.

A huge thanks to all the folks who’ve dined with us over the past 2 years. We see you and we love you!

Due to the inclement forecast tomorrow, we will be limiting our selection to retail items and premade pastries tomorrow We will have lots of kolaches and cinnamon rolls, chocolate croissants, and cherry danishes, but no bodega rolls or bougie toast 😢 Not how we’d like to end a phenomenal season, but it’s not fun setting up and breaking down a kitchen in the rain. We hope you’ll still come get some fresh loaves or visit us up .bakery for lunch!

Join us this Saturday in St. Charles for the annual sister cities Winter Market. We’ll have some festive German specialties including stollen, lebkuchen, pretzels and currywurst, along with our handmade pastries, cinnamon rolls, kolaches and bialy’s. The market goes from 8am-2pm, but some items will be extremely limited so get there early!

We have a toast reprise tomorrow for the last regular season This beauty features our Franken-jam, a combination of all of our fruit jams through the year, with Belletoile triple cream Brie, fresh apples and pea shoots, a bougie sendoff to an amazing season. We’ll also have a plethora of pastries including PSL Rolls, Chocolate croissants and Brioche, as well as Pear and Almond Danishes. We hope to see you there!

You may have noticed that we changed the recipe of our Pullman loaf, which is now closer to a Japanese style milk bread known as Shokupan. We still use our sourdough culture for tang and preservation, and include whole wheat and whole spelt from . The end result is crazy soft and stays that way for longer thanks to the technique of precooking some of the flour prior to mixing. Available as full or half loaves at both locations.

We have a more limited selection of pastries tomorrow, flavors include:

Banana Chocolate Rolls
Ham and Cheese and Asparugus
croissants
Chocolate Croissants
BEC kolaches
Spinach and Cheese Kolache

And lastly we have half a dozen loaves of marble rye!! Hope to see you tomorrow!
