Cake Frolic, LLC Welcome! My name is Lisa. Helping to inspire and teach all things sweet. I teach classes nationally and locally and create content to inspire and educate.

I am a national teacher, certified sugar art judge and award winning sugar artist dedicated to inspiring and helping people learn how to make sweet treats. I am currently the president of the Midwest Sugar Artists club and the former president of the St. Louis Metropolitan Sugar Art Guild.

I made this wedding cake for a friend’s wedding this October. I shared with him days after his wedding, that he and his husband fulfilled two dreams I have had. 1. Creating a wedding cake for a wedding held at the beautiful Missouri Botanical Garden. 2. Making handmade gumpaste flowers for that cake at the Missouri Botanical Garden. Cake flavors: vanilla with Swiss meringue buttercream and chocolate with Luxardo cherry Swiss meringue buttercream. Congratulations Bobby and Ben!

I am having a great time in Miami at SoFlo Cake & Candy Expo. Pat Jacoby and I took a great class today and I really enjoyed it. Our teacher, Lucia IM, traveled all the way from Seoul, South Korea to teach here. This is my cake I decorated in class with chocolate ganache flowers.

There is a Google Form you fill out. You can skip categories, if you desire, and jump to the Rising Star Award-USA. Just be sure you fill out the form for the USA Rising Star. I am looking forward to teaching holiday cookie decorating at Operation Food Search! All of the money raised for ticket sales is directly donated to OFS. Last year’s event was a hit, so I was asked to teach again. I’m so honored and happy to do so.
