I’m still swooning over this wedding cake. The couple wanted something classic and romantic, and the edible satin bow ended up being the perfect finishing touch. It looks like real fabric, but it’s all sugar artistry — one of my favorite details to create.

This cake was such a fun labor of love! My client wanted every animal from her farm represented on her birthday cake — and yes, that included an emu and a lemur! Bringing each little personality to life in fondant was a delight, from the muddy pig to the sweet alpaca and the proud chicken perched on top.

This design also features my very first attempt at edible watercolor painting, which created the soft countryside landscape around the middle tier. I loved exploring this new technique, and I’m so happy with how it brought the whole scene together.

Creating cakes that tell someone’s story is one of my favorite parts of what I do. Thank you to my wonderful client for trusting me with such a special piece!
