Time for, yet another employee intro. I have the BEST team!!

This is Jacen, (pronounced Jason not Jack-en 😂) and he’s our youngest team member. Jacen’s mom messaged me saying that they live in the neighborhood by the bakery and his brother works at the comic store in the same strip, asking if I would consider hiring at his age.

He doesn’t drive quite yet (almost!!) so when I originally hired him, I planned on having him come in in the evenings for an hour or so to wash dishes and clean up after the baking was done for the day. He still does this, and is by far the most organized dish washer you’ll ever see, but I quickly learned he could handle much more than that.

You’ll almost always see his smiling face up front, ready to serve you and he has even mastered his barista roll like a champ 😂. He’s always on time, with a positive attitude, ready to do whatever is needed. He takes initiative more than most adults I know, and can handle anything thrown his way. We all absolutely love this kid!!!

Aside from the work side of things, Jacen matches my sarcastic humor perfectly. 😂 He was comfortable with everyone basically right away and we couldn’t be happier having him on the team.

Give Jacen a giant thanks and welcome next time you’re in the bakery!

Throw on your sweater and come see us tonight! It’s the perfect weather for a warm fall beverage and fresh baked pastries!

We have all of the Friday usuals, including apple c***r donuts, blueberry scones, brownies, s’mores brownies, blueberry and churro muffins, mini cheesecakes, a variety of cupcakes, jumbo maple and brown sugar filled cookies, and the following cookie sandwiches: chocolate chip, double chocolate peanut butter, tiramisu, and lemon graham!

I’m not quite ready for 55 degrees 😱😱 BUT it’s the perfect weather to stop in for one of our hot seasonal drinks and a warm, fresh baked pastry!!

AND we reduced the price of our lattes to $6.75! Same quality ingredients, still gluten free and vegan, same locally roasted, organic coffee beans, same unrefined natural flavor syrups, new price!

Fresh apple c***r donuts on Friday AND Saturday again this week!

Fresh cinnamon rolls and loads of scones on Saturday and Sunday, as always.

Time for another employee intro!!

This gorgeous lady has taken over scone prep and is doing a fantastic job!

Aside from the fact that she jumps right in and gets to work on whatever is needed to help out, and has mastered scone prep (which is legitimately not an easy task!!), this is one awesome woman! She’s a fierce mama bear who’s super creative, a fellow Swifty, a little witchy, always dresses in the most adorable, artsy outfits with the cutest hairstyles and red lips to go with it, a nature and animal lover, and just an overall great human being!

You won’t see her often, since she mostly works behind the scenes, but if you do, give Michele a big welcome and thanks!

Lucky Dog is stocked with cookie sandwiches! Now that I’m making more progress in training bakers, we should be able to keep them consistently stocked 🎉🎉
