Café Schweizer grundades år 1920, dryga 90 år senare hittar man cafét på samma adress där historian en gång i tiden började. Kunskaperna och kärleken till yrket har under årens gång förts vidare, och alla följande generationer har bidragit till att göra Café Schweizer till vad det är idag, en ikon i Gamla Stan med gäster från alla världens hörn. Ett schweizeri var i Sverige på 1800-talet ett sorts

Café med alkoholservering. Beteckningen skapades när invandrade schweiziska konditorer i början av 1800-talet startade utskänkningsställen i Stockholm där de serverade kaffe, te, choklad och likör. idag serverar vi inte alkohol på Schweizer men vår stolthet och vårt arv finns kvar.
