You always made it a point to celebrate those around you. I was absolutely honored the day you chose me to create a cake so that you could celebrate yourself. You were a tough broad but tender to your core. You fiercely protected those you loved - both when they were in your presence & especially when they were out of sight. You were a spunky spark of fire in this world & in your absence it absolutely feels dimmer without you in it. Thank you for always believing in me, supporting me, & trusting me to create this cake specifically for just for you. Your tenacity & audacity will continue to live on in all of us. It feels so good to start anew. to put my whole life into a business - every cent, every part of my heart & soul only to burn it down & start over? hands down the best thing I’ve ever decided to do.
The Humble Bee Shoppe created a space to hone my craft, to create community, & help me reshape my heart ✨ bee. is all of those things realized at their highest vibration 💙
I am so proud myself, damnit. I’d do it all again 10x over - the happiness, the hurt - if I knew this feeling of wholeness was waiting on the other side.
but I guess that’s the whole point of living - we gotta take chances despite nothing in life being a sure bet ✨ I hope you find the courage to bet on yourself 💋

when I share my story, a lot of people tend to ask me - “how do you hold such love & empathy for those who have hurt you?”
the answer is too simple.
“Because I love(d) them sincerely. Because I really love my life & who I am. You have to acknowledge every part of your path that got you where you are today - especially the painful ones.”
It doesn’t mean dismissing your experience. It certainly doesn’t mean holding someone on a pedestal where they don’t actually belong where you abandon your own experience & live in a state of delusion. But it does mean humanizing the people who have hurt you. It does mean taking the time to understand how to extend your grace. And it absolutely does mean being able to hold multiple truths at once which is quite frankly - the hardest s**t I have ever had to do in my life.
Because once you can do that - you find this inner peace that I never thought I’d arrive at. A peace I didn’t know was possible. & it is truly, sincerely rooted in love & forgiveness. No - not the love & forgiveness a lot of us were taught growing up where we sweep things under the rug & simply forgive + forget the pain that those have bled onto us. The love & forgiveness that’s grounded in the deep understanding that despite the pain others inflict upon those around them that they too are flawed, human, & that at the end of the day their choices are their own.
It’s the one thing we’re actually in control of, you know. Our choices. The ways in which we choose to move in this life - some people choose the seemingly easier, less integral way of being but that’s not on you. And you have to know that at your core.
forgiveness extends beyond some toxically positive or possessive ideology often rooted in the dismissal of the self. It is about coveting the self. Preserving the self. & embodying the energy you know that you are & want to put out into the world. 🌼 & it will be the most challenging yet rewarding experience of your life xoxo
