Food Truck Nights at Brookstown are back! And we’re kicking things off tonight with Salsarita’s Fresh Mexican Grill ( ) from 5–8pm! 🌮

One of the most meaningful parts of my job is working with young people in different capacities. Usually that means getting to know the lovely baristas, bakers and drivers that come to us in their 20s and 30s, but occasionally I also get to hang out with even younger folks. I recently had the pleasure of being interviewed by Hazel for her entrepreneurship unit at Speas Elementary - what a delight!

The same week, I also got to give a tour of our 4th Street location to a group from the Street School; our wonderful barista, Daniel, led an impromptu demonstration for them on how to make a latte.

I’m supposed to be the one inspiring these young folks to greater heights, but in reality it works the other way around: being around young people gives me new energy, ideas, and insight. Thank you Hazel, Daniel, Alexandra, Lovely, and Jah’siah for inspiring me!
