I love fall.

And I love pumpkin spice!

I've been itching to make pumpkin cake. A little cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and a drizzle of caramel hits the spot!

We made our first donation to the SONH Penguin Plunge this morning 🍞❤️ and all of this was because of you! We couldn't have done this without you!

We will continue to fundraise for the Plunge, but man, I am so happy and thankful!

Hi folks!

It's that time of year!

Time to fundraise for the Special Olympics of New Hampshire! One of the reasons I started this little bread operation was to help do some good in our community; and I love how the Special Olympics fosters a sense of belonging and accomplishment!

This will be my 11th year participating in the Penguin Plunge. This one is extra special to me, because I was side-lined following hip surgery last year. I'm happy and grateful that I can be a part of it this time around!

So!

Crispy Sunday morning 🍞❤️

The shepherds and I were up before the sun, got our coffee brewing, and got baking!

Pre-orders are starting to hit the shelves!

And today, we have a dozen free-range eggs for sale ($5). These are from some seriously happy hens, raised by two of my dear friends who live just a stone's throw away in New Boston!

I appreciate everyone's patience with me while starter issues were being resolved ❤️

Thank you all so much for your love, flexibility and support yesterday!

The back up starter and gifted starter rose beautifully for me overnight. I'm so relieved!

If you had an order with me that was originally scheduled for today, those will be ready tomorrow morning ❤️ thank you again for your patience!

It's been a week.

Have you ever had a week where just nothing seems to work quite right?

I'll spare you the tale of woe, but, my week ended with my starter kicking the bucket.

It really was the icing on the cake.

So as I'm sitting outside, feeling overwhelmed and sad, my friend rolls up with some of hers - it's even one of my starter's babies ❤️ I'm hoping hers or my back ups come to life for me.

Thank you to everyone who allowed me to reschedule your breads. I really appreciate the patience and kindness. I am cautiously optimistic, but I'll keep in touch! Bakesey orders are turned off until I'm 100% sure I'm good to go. I hate feeling like I can't deliver.

At the end of it all, I'm so thankful for people who treat me with grace when things don't go to plan. And I'm thankful for friends who show up without hesitation, and who give a big hug and remind me that everything is going to be okay.

And there's pumpkin coffee, and walks in the woods with my Luca Dog.

It's just been a week.

Good morning 🌞🍞

I am so happy for the crisp, cool air. I love fall and winter - they're the perfect seasons to bake some bread! Plus, I love the colors and layering up!

I also love the fall because my Littlest Helper is a fall baby; she'll be 4-years-old this week! Where does the time go? It wasn't that long ago that she was a little baby in my arms, and now here she is, performing some kind of automotive services! I'm looking forward to celebrating her this week 🎂❤️

I had so much fun working with my friends on their family photos today. It's been so long since I dusted off my camera!

This is Anton the Cattle Dog and his stuffy. He mostly kept to himself, but he did get in some of the pictures and surprised me with a couple boops and sneaky kisses today.

It was a fun way to spend the morning. Thank you, friends, for letting me be part of it ❤️

Thank you to those who preordered with me this weekend, I appreciate it! I have a full baking schedule!

I also have another project on my schedule, family photos for a friend.

I've done photography as a hobby for sometime, starting out helping my older brother on his photoshoots - he really was instrumental in getting me started, with patience, time, and even gear. How lucky am I?

Art has always been a part of my life. Drawing, painting, to majoring in studio art/painting for a year at UNH until I decided I felt maybe a little bit too vulnerable putting myself out there in that way.

So now I mostly doodle on bread bags, and in the margins of cases I'm working on when I'm thinking. I also have a giant whiteboard in my office that gets little drawings on it, which I love.

And - now I get to capture little moments of some of the people I love most ❤️
