I am participating in another cookie box fundraiser with some amazing bakers and pastry chefs (several who are James Beard nominated!). For the 3rd year we are supporting Safe Shores, which provides survive-centered services and support for children affected by abuse in DC and works to end child abuse and neglect.

Pick up will be Sunday, 4/27, from 12-2pm at The Hamilton (600 14th Street, NW). Boxes are $105 and will include more than 20 cookies which are individually wrapped and labeled with food allergens.

COOKIE KINDNESS PROJECT UNITES THE DMV’S BEST PASTRY CHEFS, BAKERS, CHEFS + FOOD WRITERS TO CREATE A FALL-THEMED COLLECTION OF COOKIES
TO RAISE MONEY FOR KID POWER INC.

21 of the region’s best pastry chefs, bakers, chefs, and food writers are creating limited edition fall-themed cookie boxes with the goal of raising over $10,000 for Kid Power Inc, a renowned non-profit working to help address the opportunity gaps that DMV area youth face through a powerful combination of academic support, emotional wellness programs, and civic engagement opportunities.

Spearheaded by 2024 RAMMY Pastry Chef of the Year Rochelle Cooper (The Duck and The Peach, La Collina, The Wells, and Meli) and Zoë Ezrailson, Pastry Chef of Sugar High DC, the boxes ($110 each, $10 for packaging) will be filled with over 20 cookies and a little spooky surprise as a thank you from the children of Kid Power Inc.

In addition, Paola Velez, award winning pastry chef, activist, and author of Bodega Bakes, has graciously donated an autographed copy of her newly released cookbook, Bodega Bakes. This signed copy will be raffled off as part of this benefit. On the ticket site there is an option to add a $5 raffle ticket, this counts as one entry and entries are unlimited. The winner will be chosen at random and it is not required to purchase a cookie box to enter

I’m excited to be participating in our upcoming exclusive Fall Spooky Sale. has brought together over 20 bakers, chefs, and food writers from across the DMV raising funds for . As you may know we have done many cookie sales in the past to support amazing local causes in the DMV in hopes of raising over $10,000+ for these incredible organizations. , a renowned non-profit working to help address the opportunity gaps that DC youth face through a powerful combination of academic support, emotional wellness programs, and civic engagement opportunities.

Alongside 20+ bakers, chefs, and food writers we’ve assembled a box of delicious individually wrapped cookies at $110/box to raise funds for . At less than $5 a cookie, I cannot think of a more delicious way to support such an important cause.

Pickup Options will be on Sunday October 27th from 1pm-3pm OR Monday, October 28th between 12 p.m.- 5p.m. at Kid Power Administration Office (400 E St. SW Washington, DC 20024) The cookies are INDIVIDUALLY BAGGED so you can freeze them to enjoy over a month or take them to work or friends and enjoy them as a group. But if you keep them for yourself it’s ok too ~ it’s for a good cause after all!
