had to throw her chef coat back on for one week in honor of Women’s History Month! Buttercream will be collaborating with our dear friends on a ONE TIME ONLY SPECIAL for pick up next Saturday 3/16 at Dolcezza Factory near Union Market. Come say Hi to Tiff and grab your treat!

If an ice cream cake, pie and baked Alaska had a baby THIS would be it!

We call it: Piescream Caked-Alaska

Layers of vanilla bean and chocolate gelato from Dolcezza studded with chocolate cookie crunchies and dulce de leche. All tucked into an Oreo crust and topped with our famous torched honey-vanilla meringue of Happy Camper fame!

Bonus - a portion of sales will go to a non-profit in DC committed to accelerating the growth of women entrepreneurs and leaders in the food industry.

We’ve got another non-profit organization that we want you to follow so we’re including them in our giveaway for a box of half a dozen (6) CINNASCONES for pickup on 12/30!!

If you’ve been following us for a while you know we do a ton of work on behalf of . Safe shores is The DC Children’s Advocacy Center - A direct service nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting and working directly with child victims of sexual and physical abuse in the District of Columbia. The work they do is so incredibly heart wrenching but also soooooo incredibly important.

Between art drives, toiletry drives, cookie box fundraisers, sponsoring holidays wishlists and back to school backpacks and many many more fundraising and donation efforts we estimate having raised/donated about $65,000 + for . That’s all thanks to YOU of course, since our followers and clients and friends are always so quick to give back to members of their community that need it most!

GIVEAWAY!!!

Today’s feature is another florist! What can we say? We know a lot of ladies that make big floral arrangements and have big hearts!

Rachel & Lauren are two business owners I have endless respect for. They own and , two different floral brands that are both insanely beautiful.

Lauren & Rachel have been there since the start. They took headshots before we opened, they created the florals for AND shot ’s wedding, they have been a sounding board on many occasions and they have donated countless times to fundraising efforts we’ve hosted in addition to their own charitable work. They are great women who are also great leaders in our community.

For this giveaway we’ll be gifting the winner with a full set of ALL our baking kits (5 different boxes) plus some other fun goodies from the shop! So even after we close you’ll be able to enjoy buttercream goodies straight from your oven. Pickup will be at the store on Saturday 12/30 (our very last day!)

Daniel and his team are undoubtably the but what you might not know is they are also the kindest. No…. Really. And the kindness starts at the tippy-top with Daniel himself. Danny is always quick as can be to support those in need around him. Any time I’m raising funds for a charity or crisis he is ready and waiting to pitch in. And his team is filled with some of the nicest, most supportive, people I’ve ever met ( and I’m looking at you to name a few) Follow their feed to see some of the most gorgeous, cutting edge videos of real estate in the DMV but also to cheer on a business that truly give back to their community.

INSTAGRAM GIVEAWAY - One more business we love and respect and hope you’ll consider following and supporting as well…. Because we believe supporting businesses run by great people is important!

Maria, the owner of has been a ride-or-die since day one. Actually I’d say she’s been there since day negative-48 because she worked with us before we officially opened, after opening, and all the way up until her floral business got sooooooo popular she had to go full time with it. She was our original office manager, keeping all our emails and orders in order! We hated to see her go but we loved to watch her business succeed. We will always miss the beautiful floral arrangements she’d supply for our shop’s farm table and the fact that Maria donated flowers for so many charity events we’ve done. We couldn’t be more thankful for her friendship and generous spirit! She’s a “girls-girl” in every sense on the word, which is just one more reason she’s our kinda girl ❤️

Today as a thank you to Maria we’ll be giving away a delicious platter of cookies - enough to feed 10-12 people. This is for pick up at our shop on Saturday 12/23 between 12p-3p

Can’t believe this will be our last pick-up. Gosh I’m grateful for all the years of cakes, cookies, confections, smiles, laughs and fun. Customers and colleagues alike have brought so much joy to this little shop. 🥹🥹🥹

This image is last year’s platter so keep in mind this this year will be a little different (bigger & better in our opinion).
