Most of you know us as Sweet Treats Bootique — but when we're not making chocolates, filling orders, restocking candy, and doing all the things that come with running a small business... we're also spending months every year building something completely different. 👻

Nightmare on Church St.

We pour so much time, work, creativity, and probably a slightly unreasonable amount of Halloween obsession 😂 into creating a fun, unique and special experience for our community.

It's not a business. It's not something we do to make money.

It's something we do because we genuinely love Halloween, love creating it, and love seeing our community come out and experience what we've built. 🖤

Due to City permit requirements, Nightmare on Church St must be held as a private event.

But don't worry — you're invited. 🎃

What does New Hampshire's new homestead food law mean for Sweet Treats Bootique? 🍫

You may have heard that New Hampshire recently changed its laws regarding licensing for certain homestead food businesses.

For Sweet Treats Bootique, there's one part of this change that's a little bittersweet.

When licensing and inspection were available to us, we chose to be licensed. We paid the fees, followed the requirements and welcomed the accountability that came with operating a licensed food business. Food safety has always been something we take seriously — not simply something we do because we're required to.

Under the new law, our homestead operation now falls under the state's licensing exemption, so that particular license is no longer something we're able to maintain.

What hasn't changed is the way we operate.

🍫 We continue to take sanitation and safe food handling seriously.

🏷️ We professionally package and label our products with ingredients and allergen information.

🍬 We also maintain the separate licensing required for the retail side of our business, allowing Sweet Treats Bootique to offer a growing selection of bulk candies and specialty chocolates in addition to the treats we make ourselves.

And most importantly, we're still the same Sweet Treats Bootique you've trusted to make your strawberries, cake pucks, Oreos, chocolates, gift baskets and special orders.

Regulations may change.

Our standards don't have to. ❤️
