We started with some fresh local produce, a few bulk bins, and a ton of big ideas. Now, 50 years later, we’ve grown to over 7,800 owners strong: a community of food-loving individuals who put local and natural products first. We’re a group of advocates for Palouse producers and families affected by food insecurity.

We are so excited to share that our GM, Melinda, was honored with the Cooperative Service Award from the Consumer Cooperative Management Association last week!

This award highlights individuals who live our Co-op values every day—and Melinda is a shining example! She serves on the Board of Directors for National Cooperative Grocers and is a thought leader in the industry, often consulted by her peers from across the country.

True to form, Melinda is quick to remind us: this honor reflects all of the Moscow Food Co-op employees who work hard every day.

It was time for our building to receive an update - that includes a new exterior color and mural. Katelyn Jackson from (you may remember her incredible work in the front windows of the store!) has been selected to create and paint a custom mural for us. And yes, there will be a chicken!
