The laughter shared around dinner tables, the dreams built together, the challenges weathered hand in hand, and the countless ordinary days that quietly became something extraordinary. ❤️

🏁💙❤️💛 Talk about a DREAM collaboration! 💛❤️💙🏁

I had the opportunity to create these Hot Wheels-themed cupcakes for an event styled by the incredibly talented owner of Tied & True Events, and WOW… just look at what she created! 😍

The balloon installation, the colors, the details, the overall vision—it all came together so perfectly. There are people who decorate parties, and then there are people who create an experience, and she absolutely falls into that second category.

My contribution? These themed cupcakes complete with hand-crafted edible chocolate tires. 😳🚗💨 Every little detail was made to coordinate with the setup and bring the dessert table to life.

One of my favorite things about being a small business owner is getting to work alongside other creative entrepreneurs who are passionate about what they do. Watching someone take an idea and turn it into something this beautiful is seriously inspiring.

There is something so special about being trusted with a small piece of one of the biggest days in someone’s life.

This sweet couple chose to celebrate their wedding in a way that felt completely and beautifully them—including serving waffles for dinner. 🧇🤍 And honestly, I couldn’t stop smiling when I heard about it. It was a reminder that the best weddings aren’t about following traditions perfectly; they’re about creating a day that reflects your story.

They also trusted me with something brand new: a two-tier cookie cake wedding cake. I had never created a wedding cake quite like this before, and I’ll admit I felt a mix of excitement, nerves, and determination as I worked through every layer.

Seeing it all come together was one of those moments that reminds me why I love what I do. Not because it’s cookies and buttercream, but because behind every order is a family, a celebration, a milestone, and a memory being made.

As I delivered this cookie cake, I couldn’t help but think about the laughter, conversations, happy tears, and promises that would surround it later that day. Getting to play even the smallest role in those moments is something I’ll never take for granted.

Well... what started as a 2am baking mistake turned into something pretty fun. 😆🍪

Thank you to everyone who claimed a cookie cake and helped rescue my sleep-deprived baking blunder! What could have been a stressful mistake quickly turned into a fun surprise, and I loved seeing all the creative ways you personalized them.

Thankfully, the wedding still got exactly what they ordered... after I remade the cookie cakes in the CORRECT sizes. 😂

Some orders are special because of the design. Some are special because of the flavor. And some are special because they remind me why I love doing this in the first place.

This gorgeous lemon blueberry cake with vanilla buttercream was ordered by a brand new customer after being referred by one of my existing clients. Every time someone trusts me enough to recommend my little bakery to a friend or family member, it feels like the biggest compliment I could ever receive.

In a world full of choices, someone shared my name.

🎓❤️ Sometimes God gives you a little reminder exactly when you need it. ❤️🎓

One thing I don’t often get to experience as a home baker is seeing a client’s reaction when they pick up their order. Most of the time, I carefully package everything up, place it in the pickup fridge, and hope it’s everything they dreamed it would be.

This past weekend, I happened to pull into the driveway just as this graduate was picking up her cake.

She opened the fridge, saw it, immediately put her hands over her mouth and face, did the sweetest little happy dance, and just stood there smiling.

And I don’t think she realized how much that moment meant to me.

Because in that instant, I wasn’t looking at a cake.

I was looking at years of hard work, late-night studying, early mornings, accomplishments, challenges overcome, and a young woman standing on the edge of her next chapter.

I was watching someone celebrate a moment she earned.

As bakers, we spend so much time worrying about every tiny detail. Is the frosting smooth enough? Is the color right? Will they love it? We pour our hearts into creating something special, but we rarely get to witness what happens when it’s finally seen for the first time.

This time, I did.

And it reminded me that what I make isn’t really about cake.

It’s about celebrating milestones.

It’s about preserving memories.

It’s about helping make life’s biggest moments feel just a little more special.

Watching her excitement, seeing that genuine reaction, and knowing this cake would be part of a day she’ll remember forever absolutely filled my heart.

The truth is, after six years of Naptime Baking Co., moments like this still get me. They still make me emotional. They still remind me why I started and why I continue to love what I do.

To every graduate, parent, grandparent, friend, and family member who has trusted me to be a small part of your celebrations—thank you.

And to the graduate who unknowingly gave me that sweet reminder this weekend: thank you for the happy dance. It meant more than you’ll ever know. ❤️
