The reason I bake a difference is: community.

Icing Smiles, Inc. is up to something new, and we're helping grab everyone's attention by sharing our special ingredient! 💜

Since 2013, we have volunteered with Icing Smiles to bring special cakes to children impacted by a critical illness. With my own medically complex child, I understand how isolated families can feel. It's important to know that your community sees you and supports you!

Keep and eye out to see what the Icing Smiles organization is baking up. In the meantime, scroll to see some cakes our kitchen has gifted over the years.

This wedding season has seen a water crisis, unusually hot weather, a produce parasite, wildfire smog, and now thunderstorms. Somehow we have found a way around every challenge! When everything seems unpredictable, at least we can count on cake being unwaveringly delicious.

Well, we cleared our schedule for the event of the century, and as the clock counted down we were even willing to bend our little "two week notice" rule, but it's becoming clear we won't be making *that* cake. 😂😂😂
