The Tale of Two Barbers 🍪💈

Two ladies, weeks apart placed individual cookie orders with me.
Both wanted a barber theme.
Both chose completely different inspiration photos and color choices.
Both clearly adored their nephew and son.

So today I am making two separate sets of barber cookies thinking how funny and genuinely sweet it is that there are two 19 year old aspiring barbers that share the same birthday.

Neither lady gave me a name to put on the cookies. Just full confidence in my design and creativity.

I met up with the first woman for cookie pickup today and casually mentioned:
“Okay so… funniest thing… another woman ordered barber-themed cookies for a 19-year-old birthday today too.” 😂

Immediately she gets suspicious.

“Wait… was it my sister?!”

And of COURSE I couldn’t remember the other woman’s first name. But I DID have a photo from a previous order, so I showed her.

Instant confirmation.

We both just stood there laughing because somehow these sisters independently bought their son/nephew the same gift of cookies without either one knowing. 💀

THEN later on today I met the second sister for pickup and before I could even fully explain, we were BOTH already laughing.

At this point I feel like I’ve become part of family lore. Honestly, if two people independently order you custom cookies for your birthday… you’re probably doing something right! He certainly is loved and has excellent taste 🤌🏽✨ 😂💈🍪

Looking at these cute cookies today and

I thought a little Independence Day throwback would be a perfect reminder that patriotism isn’t sitting by in silence. 🇺🇸
While ICE policies and this administration continue to separate families, real harm has been done—and lives have been lost. While our country is taking a hard turn in a violent direction, let’s all remember that our voices are powerful, we can love our neighbors, and also draw a hard line on what we tolerate.

For me, loving America means holding it accountable and choosing humanity.
I’m still here.
Still standing with our community.
Still believing in liberty and justice FOR ALL.
