Joe "Coach" Dimaio was a regular at Farm Fresh Foods. He always had a smile on his face. He touched so many people's lives in so many different ways.

We are going to miss you, Coach.

The Jamestown Public Schools family is mourning the loss of Joseph R. “Coach” DiMaio — longtime Jamestown High School teacher, coach, and former president of the JPS Board of Education. He served our district with dedication for 45 years and passed away on Nov. 17 at the age of 78. ❤️💚

A 1965 JHS graduate, Mr. DiMaio taught health for more than three decades and coached football at both Lincoln and JHS, helping lead the program to multiple state championships. After retiring, he continued his service as a Board of Education member from 2004–2016, including four years as board president, and was widely respected for his advocacy on behalf of small city school districts.

Our thoughts are with his family in the days ahead. ❤️
