Long Post:
After much reflection, I have made the decision at this time, not to take orders for the foreseeable future. As no one is 100% certain of what the future holds, there is a possibility I may decide to bake again at some point. I want to say a HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who has ordered from me, supported me, and helped spread the word about my business over the past almost 9 1/2 years. When I started on this journey in November 2011, I had just finished going back to school and needed an income while looking for full time employment. I think I was pretty much the first in the area offering custom cookies & desserts, which really helped me become as successful as I did. Even after finding full time employment, I kept baking to supplement my income, but also because I enjoyed doing it. I absolutely loved being a part of soooooo many special occasions over the years...weddings, engagements, anniversaries, baptisms, birthdays, First communions, holidays, every occasion possible. There are so many wonderful customers I have enjoyed meeting, getting to know, and watching their kids grow up. I have had amazing customers who ordered from me for every single occasion they had, and to celebrate their kid's birthdays every year. It's been the best experience. It's difficult to step away from, and I hate the feeling of disappointing anyone. It's a wonderful feeling to hear from people how much they love what you've created, not only for what they look like, but especially for how good they taste. Like I've said many times in regards to my cupcakes & cakes, "It's all about the buttercream." I got many, many compliments on my cookies as well. At this point in my life though, I have to do what is best for me, and I must say I'm actually enjoying getting enough sleep and my free time on the weekends. I hope y'all will stick around on my page, and if and when I decide to take orders again, or hold an occasional "pop up" you'll be the first ones to know. Much love 💕
