My name is Jordan Smith - I’ve called Hilliard home for almost two decades - I married a lifelong resident - and have been a proud member of our local business community by operating Lil Donut Factory - for thirteen of those years. It remains an exciting time to live and work in Hilliard. We’re getting ready to refresh and reconsider the guiding documents of the city and re-examine, in a real sense, Hilliard’s plan for tomorrow. That’s why I’m running for city council this year - to make sure that in all this flurry of work - your voice is clearly heard in these important discussions. Now is the time to create a city government that works not only from important public needs and necessities but with the regular direction and support of the community. Together, we’ll create recurring programs - right in your neighborhood - that provide every opportunity to meet with each other and build a true participatory process that serves both the city and its citizens. We’ve seen each other every morning for over a decade out there - doing the work that keeps this project going - keeps our families fed - and remains the foundation for a truly strong community.
