We kicked off 2025 with curiosity, a full schedule and a whole bunch of great meetings!

We have been holding 1-on-1’s with leaders from all across the island so we can ensure that we are meeting the needs of Galveston Nonprofits, and they are going great!

Thank you to steward and board member Holly Hopkins for supporting this outreach by donating to our coffee fund to fuel our meetings!

Congrats Jennifer!

Kristen Williams is a Galveston-based fiber artist specializing in macramé and handwoven textiles crafted in her home studio. Inspired by the islands landscape & lifestyle, her desire to bring a modern revived touch to the world of macramé, and the depth of her personal reflections, Kristen’s work captures the essence of lived moments and introspective thoughts. She ties her experiences into each piece, playing with patterns and textures alongside ceramic elements as a nod to her wife, ceramicist Erica Williams. Passionate about sharing her craft, Kristen also offers online classes, inviting others to explore their creativity and connect through the art of fiber.

Last music night of the year! Enjoy a live set by elijahhawkinsmusic with a hot drink in hand ☕️🎶🎊

Elijah Hawkins is a singer-songwriter currently based out of Galveston, Texas. After dabbling in piano and viola, he picked up the guitar and began writing songs as a teenager while under the influence of the nu-folk revival. With his bass-baritone vocals and deftly expressive guitar work, he makes classic songs sound like his and his own songs sound like classics.

Small Business Saturday ❤️

A beautiful reminder to shop small and support local. When shopping small business, you are supporting the families who devote their lives to their trade, supporting their dreams, visions and soul missions.

We thrive because of your love and support. We thrive because it’s our nature to help others.

We are the artisans, artists, farmers, practitioners, baristas, medicine makers….the movers and shakers…when our communities are hurting…we stand with one another offering support and encouragement to our fellow locals. During these difficult and transitional times, we stand together as One, we stand strong to love and lift one another up.

Teamwork makes the dream work!

Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for the years of support and dedication…for your Love, kindness, service and devotion.
