This girl- if you know her you absolutely love her. There are no other options.
She walked into Sweet Friends five months after we opened, looking for a job.
I remember sitting across from her thinking, “she’s a keeper.” And somehow, three years later, that still feels like an understatement.
What started as hiring another baker turned into gaining one of the most important people in my life. A confidant. A safe place. A sister. Family.
We’ve walked through so many seasons together:the beautiful ones, the exhausting ones, the uncertain ones, and the dream-come-true moments too. She helped carry this place with me from the ground up, loved it like it was her own, and loved me through all of it too.
The other night we took a flower arranging class together, and it felt strangely symbolic. Two girls building something beautiful side by side, knowing seasons eventually change.
She leaves in October, and I already know there will be a space no one else can fill quite the same. But I also know how lucky I’ve been to do life beside her these last three years.
Some people come into your life for a reason. She was one of mine 🤍 I will cherish these last 5 months with her as much as I can- and you absolutely should too 💕
