I have had the honor of baking cakes and cupcakes for this little girl's birthday a few times now. Each year the cake she wants is something that's so adorable, and this year is no different.....it's a vanilla Zootopia themed cake complete with pink buttercream, fresh made mini donuts, and white chocolate carrots and the number 6....paired with vanilla, chocolate, scotcheroo and frosted animal cookie cupcakes. You all know what time it is?? Graduation season, of course, so that means oodles and oodles of sweeet desserts are gonna be baking and going out these next few weeks. You know there's the saying that "nobody's perfect", even tho maybe we all kinda wish or feel like we are somewhat perfect at times. Well, I think that as one gets older, just maybe, when we reach those "upper" golden years, we do in fact become "Aged to Perfection". Little late in posting.....These 2 young ladies (whom I've known since they were babies) were confirmed at church on Sunday. I had the pleasure of making these decorated cross shaped rolled sugar cookies for the fellowship time after the service. Congratulations Braeley Baxter and Delainey Fox! Even tho it's May 2nd and there's a chill in the air, it's still a beautiful day for a wedding. Dozens of cupcakes (vanilla, chocolate, spice, hot chocolate, lemon raspberry, and strawberry cheesecake) as well as dozens of cookies (chocolate chip, snickerdoodle, crackled sugar, peanut butter, oreo cookies and cream, and blueberry muffin with streusel) were baked, packaged and out the door for this bride to be, Samantha Macklin.
