Ever since reading Ezekiel 4:9, I’ve wanted to create a fresh milled sourdough loaf with ancient grains.

So here’s my latest attempt. 🤎

This one is made with freshly milled einkorn and spelt flour, 2 ancient grains that have nourished people for generations. It’s not quite where I want it to be yet but I’m getting closer with every bake.

I won’t put something on the menu until I absolutely love it, but I’m really hoping to have this loaf available for purchase soon!

Bread has a way of slowing me down and reminding me that the best things usually take time. I think that’s one of the reasons why I love it so much.

“Take wheat and barley, beans and lentils, millet and spelt; put them in one vessel and make bread…”
-Ezekiel 4:9🕊️

Spent the morning strawberry picking and came home with more berries than we know what to do with 🍓 Naturally, the first thing I made was a batch of fresh strawberry sourdough scones. 🤍

Praying for the Capital Area Dive Team today as they're out serving our community. 🤍

I had the opportunity to donate some fresh sourdough bagels for the team while they were out this morning. It's a small gesture compared to the work they're doing, but I'm grateful to be able to support those who give their time and energy to help others.

Thankful for the men and women who step up when our community needs them. 🙏
