A quick hello from me this month 👋🏽☀️

Brighton seems to have skipped straight into summer this week... which feels like a bold statement, but I'm happy to go along with it! 😎

Which means we will be back at Brighton Open Market this coming Saturday 🧁🥳

We will be there from 10 AM to 5 PM with the usual mix of gluten free, low sugar, low carb and diabetic-friendly bakes - including this month’s strawberry cupcakes 🍓🧁

And as always, there will be plenty of dairy free 🥛, egg free 🥚, nut free 🌰 and vegan 🌿 options too.

Hello world 👋🏽

It's definitely far too late to be wishing anyone a Happy New Year... so let's quietly pretend I did that on time 🤭🙈

The bakes have been baking, the caramel 🍯 caramelising, the chocolate 🍫 ganaching, the doughnuts 🍩 rising, and the cookies 🍪 doing exactly what cookies should do 😋

Life has simply been life-ing a little loudly lately. And when blue skies have been in short supply, so have the photos 📷 and the words.

Mince pies are back on the table 🥳🎄✨ Spiced, festive, fully gluten free, low carb, low sugar, AND entirely diabetic-friendly 🤗
(FYI my eternally diligent , who is none of the above, has also given them his rigorous taste-test seal of approval 😏).

I must confess these take what feels like an absolute eternity to make, and every single one of these festive beauties is made entirely from scratch - right down to our homemade sugar-free dried cranberries 🥰. So it’s fair to say they do tend to disappear fast - clearly, unabashed flavour and the festive spirit are equally contagious 😉

We'll be at our FINAL market of the year this Saturday, 20th Dec, 10 AM-5 PM at wonderfully cheerful .btn with these little parcels of seasonal joy, plus a generous spread of sweet and savoury treats to suit a variety of taste buds and dietary preferences 🍪🧁

Honestly, it feels like the baking elves 🦌 have taken over in our kitchen (spoiler: the elves are me), and, honestly, I swear the 🎄 trays seem to keep multiplying when I am not looking 👀

I am emerging from the Instagram abyss with festive bakes at the ready because... it is happening. My first Christmas market of the season is nearly here! 😱🎄✨

After a week of grey skies and soggy socks, the sun finally remembered we exist 🥳😎☀️💛

Seems only fair to celebrate with a little drizzle of my own... lemon drizzle, that is 🍋✨ These bright, tangy doughnuts will be at most excellent .btn tomorrow (Sat 25th Oct, 10 AM to 5 PM) along with plenty of other gluten free, low carb, low sugar treats - because Brighton clearly decided to reward us for surviving that weather 🍩☀️
