Let’s talk wedding cake budgets: what actually goes into the price?
A cake budgets can feel surprising when you first start planning, but unlike a birthday cake, a wedding cake is often made to serve dozens, sometimes over a hundred guests. For many couples, it’s the largest celebration they’ll ever host, and naturally, more servings means more cake, more ingredients, more time, and a larger budget.
Another thing worth knowing: not every wedding cake is custom designed from scratch.
A fully customized cake (the first 4 pictures in the gallery) - designed specifically for your wedding, colors, venue, flowers and style - sits at a different price point than a cake from our ready-to-order collection (the last 4 in the gallery). Both can be beautiful, but the amount of design work involved is very different.
Behind every wedding cake are hours (and often days) of planning, baking, decorating, transporting, assembling, and problem-solving.
You’re not just paying for flour, butter and sugar. You’re investing in craftsmanship, creativity, experience, and the peace of mind that on one of the most important days of your life, the cake will arrive exactly as it should.
A beautiful wedding cake doesn’t have to be enormous. It doesn’t have to be extravagant. But it does deserve a realistic budget if you’re looking for something thoughtful, handmade, and truly special.
Because at the end of the day, it’s not just dessert.
It’s part of the celebration itself. 🤍
