Personal recommendation: must order ✨ given the current circumstances I’ve decided to adapt this food blog, from now I’ll be posting my takeaways and food I’ve picked up in order to support local businesses & restaurants ☺️ unfortunately we live in lichtenberg so options are extremely limited and posts will be very sporadic (if anyone knows anything good that delivers here I’d be soooo grateful 🙏🏻)!
Anyway, I braved my fear of Berlin’s roads the other day and we biked to Markthalle Neun to stock up on some goodies 🚲 namely: some bacon (so good), bacon jam (the best!!), chorizo (also ace!) and black pudding (love it) from The Sausage Man Never Sleeps 🥓 the crustiest most delicious ciabatta from Sironi 🍞 and an amazing Bergkäse from Alte Milch 🧀
I was worried about the crowds, but the Markthalle people took enough measures to make sure social distancing was enforced and people could shop safely - another reason to shop there instead of my overcrowded local lidl!
All-in-all it was a very successful trip, and I’ll definitely trek over there again once the bacon jam runs out (which will be any day now at this rate) 😍 in the meantime I hope everyone is safe & healthy 💕
