It is with incredibly heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved Rosa, who left us for a better place on Thursday October 1, 2026.Rosa was so much more than a wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, relative and friend.She was the matriarch of our family & the strrong woman at the centre of so many of our traditions, gatherings and memories.She loved her family deeply and fiercely, and in return, she was so very loved by all of us.Affectionately known as Mama Rose here at Casa Del Pane, Rosa was strong, determined, hardworking and full of life.For over 25 years, she was a constant presence at Casa. She poured so much of herself into the bakery, even while shewas in the toughest battle of her life with cancer for the past 11 years.She loved working alongside her family, chatting with customers and continuing to help build this business - which has from day one been such an important part of our family and our community.Behind her tough business woman persona, Rosa was a woman with an enormous heart.She cared deeply for the people she loved, and her presence had a way of commanding the room.Her strength, values, work ethic and love of family have left an imprint on all of us that will remain for generations.Casa was never simply a place of work for Rosa. It was an extension of her soul and it was her passion to share her family’s Italian heritage, traditions & love of food with each & every one of us.Over the years, so many customers became familiar faces and friends, and we know that many of you have your own memoriesof conversations & have shared laughs and personal moments with her. We pray that you will find comfort in remembering and cherishing those moments with her ♥️ Our hearts are hurting, and it is difficult to imagine our family - or Casa - without her.At the same time, we are incredibly grateful for the years that we were blessed enough to have with her and find peace & comfort in knowing that she is now in the hands of God and free from pain.
