Happy new year 🍞 🎊
Katie and I would like to thank everyone who has become woven into our lives encompassing our business values since 2017: whether a helping hand, working the fields, compliment, criticism or a word of mouth- it is apparent to us now more than ever how important this community has become.
Fundamentally food, and we mean food rooted in heritage, is an important part of human DNA. We all carry the responsibility of nurturing our generations including the land that provides for us.
It's scary out there. Traceability has become unhinged as adulteration is today's commodity.
Cascadia bakehouse isn't a place of business rooted in clout and competition, it very much is a community where our products spark a conversation of bigger things happening. Our long lines 5 years ago were a pandemic.
Those days disappeared quickly but slowly those lines came back and 2025 pushed our tiny space and team to the limits. Our persistence and your devotion is the support for sourcing and doing better.
We feel safe here and hope you all continue to as well. Thank you all so much!!

❄️ ALL pre-orders to be placed through our website contact form or in-person
❄️ We will be closed every Wednesday in December except the 24th
❄️ dec. 24th will operate as a pre-order only (very very limited for walk-ins)
❄️ Pre-order menu will be available Dec. 1st
❄️ questioning our hours? Google business has our most up to date hours of operation. Please never use Apple Maps.
❄️ no stollen this year (we recommend Beyond Bread if you are in search)
❄️ panettone - yes, it’s happening. No pre-orders as anything can happen. We will post on instagram when they are ready and it will be first come first served. If you need panettone as a gift, by a certain date or of a particular quantity, we recommend Antise in Vancouver
❄️ bread and pastry orders of a larger quantity should be placed a week in advance especially to accommodate viennoiserie - otherwise dependent on stock
❄️ what’s on the holiday menu for December? In no particular order we will be rolling out the following - linzer cookies with quince jelly, giandujotto (gold bars), gianduja, amaretti, pistacchio biscotti, torrone, apple clove coffee cake, opera cake, panettone, pistacchio choux, Paris-Brest, panforte, apple handpies, Calabrian bergamot (citrus) tarts, pecan shortbread and maybe a few new along the way.
