Doceria da Maria is a branch of a Brazilian baking company, ‘’Ligia Tortas’’, that was founded in 1999 and mastered the production of specialty cakes and fine pies. Ligia is a widely renowned baker in Recife and her Brownie Pie recipe was voted the best dessert in the City. Maria is Ligia’s daughter and moved to Vancouver in 2015, where she had the idea of bringing her mom’s famous baked goods to

the city.
“My mom taught me that it’s not only about baking cakes, it goes beyond that. It’s about making everything with love and having the determination to satisfy our clients’ needs”, says Maria.
“I want to provide a unique and sweet experience to my clients in Vancouver. I want to show them the tastes and flavours that I grew up with; every bite is like a small trip to Brazil”. Quality and originality are the combination that sets our company apart from our competitors and allows us to put customer satisfaction above all else.
