Yes, Jolly Cookie will be closing (temporarily). There are a number of reasons why, and I’ve thought long and hard about this for a while; however, two important factors persist: money & time. I have learned a lot since starting this business, and I truly appreciate everyone who has helped and supported Jolly Cookie💛, however, running a business is costly and requires a significant amount of time😅. In light of my current situation, I don’t have much cash to spare, and when it comes to time, I have little left for Jolly Cookie.
I recently watched a video from Dial In Ministries where Jonny Ardavanis quoted Jonathan Edwards about time. Edwards said: “If men were as lavish of their money as they are of their time, if it were as common a thing for them to throw away their money, as it is for them to throw away their time, we should think them beside themselves, and not in the possession of their right minds. Yet time is a thousand times more precious than money; and when it is gone, cannot be purchased for money, cannot be redeemed by silver or gold.” 🥹
Hearing this was a blessing, and it helped solidify my decision. My time here on earth is limited (I pray that I won't spend it idly). It is not to say that spending time baking and selling cookies is of no value🥹, but when I consider my responsibilities right now, I see that there are several that take precedence over this business. I am hopeful, however, that if it’s the Lord’s will, I will be able to continue Jolly Cookie in the future☺️. Regardless, I will still, from time to time, continue to bake for my family, friends, and church.
To those who have supported my journey, thank you so much🍪! I will treasure all the love and memories💛.
Until then,
Jolly Cookie
