Q: Where do Pineapple Buns get their name from?
a) The buns are flavoured with pineapple
b) The topping looks like the outside of a pineapple
c) They have a pineapple filling

It’s true. It’s b)! During the baking process, the cookie-like topping cracks and forms the bun’s trademark crackly look which resembles the outside of a pineapple. All you really need to know though is that these iconic Hong Kong buns are addictively delicious.
