One of the reasons I fell in love with sourdough wasn’t just the taste…although it is delicious!

It was the simplicity.

Flour. Water. Salt. Time.

Long fermentation helps break down the gluten and phytic acid, which is why many people find sourdough easier to digest than conventional bread.

Plus, there’s something deeply comforting about slowing down enough to make food the old-fashioned way.

✨ MENU DROP ✨
The starter is getting ready, the espresso boule will be caffeinated, and my kitchen is getting ready for a flour bomb to go off… so naturally, it’s time for this week’s menu.

This week’s lineup includes:
🍞 Classic Boules
☕ Double Chocolate Espresso Boules
🥪 Sandwich Loaves
🍕 Pizza Crusts
🍪 Giant Cookies (because apparently we don’t believe in small cookies around here)

Honestly, the Double Chocolate Espresso Boule may be the emotional support loaf of the summer.

Everything is long-fermented sourdough made with simple ingredients and a whole lot of “Lord give me strength” energy.

Porch pickup is THURSDAY in Watertown.

1. Not every loaf needs fancy scoring. Sometimes rustic bread tastes better anyway.

2. Sourdough is health food… until I turn it into a butter-loaded cinnamon roll situation.

3. Measuring garlic with your heart is the only correct way to cook.

The Cheddar Boule has returned 🧀🍞

Which is unfortunate news for self-control everywhere.

This loaf makes incredible grilled cheese, soup bread, toast… or a perfectly acceptable “I’m just going to have one more slice” situation six times in a row.

This week’s sourdough menu is LIVE 🍞✨

Bringing back several favorites from last menu PLUS the return of the classic Cheddar Boule 🧀 (the loaf that mysteriously disappears slice by slice).

Also… the jumbo cinnamon rolls might be taking a little break after this menu 👀 so if you’ve been thinking “I’ll order them next time,” this is your gentle cinnamon-scented warning.

Move over Cinnabon…our sourdough cinnamon rolls are back this week, delicious and gut-friendly.… and possibly taking a brief sabbatical afterward.
Honestly, they’ve earned it.

Soft. Giant. Long-fermented. Covered in cream cheese frosting like the good Lord intended.

If you’ve ever thought, “I should try those sometime,” this is your official cinnamon-scented intervention.

Crispy Rice/Quinoa Salad
(Measure with your heart…but start here if you need help)

Crispy Topping
250g rice or quinoa (cooked) (quinoa is preferred)
1.5tsp coconut aminos (or soy sauce)
1.5 tsp sesame oil
1 tsp sweet chili sauce

Mix everything together and air fry for 16-24 min. Stirring every 8 minutes until browned to your liking.

Meat
280g cooked chicken
1Tbsp coconut aminos(or soy sauce)
1tsp garlic powder
1/2tap paprika
2 dashes of salt

Mix everything together and cook in air fryer for 10-15 minutes, stirring halfway.

Sweet Chili Sauce
60g mayo
60g Greek yogurt
30g sweet chili sauce
1/2tap garlic powder

Combine everything and set aside.

Cut up some lettuce and cucumbers. Top with your Chicken and Sweet Chili Sauce. Then scoop some of your crispy quinoa on the top. Elevate your plate by topping with sliced Avocado and Everything Bagel Seasoning.
