Considered making this post a yapping, or in my case rambling, video, but maybe I’ll practice a little more before subjecting the internet to that lol. The algorithm will have to settle for another text post. :)
This wedding season has been the most lively for me out of the nearly 20 years I’ve been in the industry as a cake maker and pastry chef. I can say with complete honesty that every person who has reached out inquiring about my offerings has been quite lovely. In general, I’ve been fortunate to have collaborated with many great clients. Many have challenged my artistic skill, and only a couple have inspired a greater commitment to professionalism and personal growth.
In quiet moments, it’s important for me to acknowledge the gratitude and, in hindsight, what can only be described as divine guidance. I think those moments — synchronicities, universal messages, inner knowing — that arise after hardship or long periods of living in the questioning will eventually lead to answers for us.
I don’t know why exactly I feel led to post something this vulnerable, somewhat uncharacteristically as of late, at the risk of being “cringe,” as the kids say, but that’s where I am currently… in gratitude.
