These past couple of weeks, I’ve been getting the same question… “Are you still baking?”

After years of being in full hustle mode, I took a year off. I came back at the end of last year and did a few pop-ups, but I wasn’t really fully in it yet.

Then last weekend, I did a little back-to-school bake sale. A few people came by, and for the first time in a while, I felt that joy and excitement again. It reminded me why I loved baking in the first place.

So I’m keeping things simple and baking when it feels good. And that’s how Sunday Batch came about.

Small batches, Sunday pickups, and whatever I feel like baking that week.

Some of you may remember how Sweet Condesa started, but what you may not know is how big of a role this guy played throughout my baking years. ❤️

From putting labels on boxes, making pie crusts, prepping and packaging, setting up events, selling pies at the farmers market, and even calming me down on stressful days. Aeden helped me in so many ways, and I’ll always be grateful for those memories we made together.

And just like that, today marks the beginning of his last year of high school. Senior year will be filled with so many last “firsts.” As much as I want to hold on a little longer, I’m so excited for everything ahead of you Aeden.

Enjoy this year! Take chances, make memories, embrace every opportunity, and don’t get so caught up in what’s next that you forget to enjoy where you are right now. The world is your oyster. Go see where it takes you. Here’s to your last first day of high school. We’ll be right here, cheering you on like we always have. 🥹❤️🎓

Year 1️⃣2️⃣ 💕

I love this simple life we’ve built together with our two boys, couldn’t ask for more. Looking forward to more coffee runs, weekend farmers market, snack and dinner dates, our endless conversations, new adventures, and growing old together.

One year ago today, I had the honor of creating a Filipino-inspired wedding dessert bar in Monterey for my Seattle-based clients, April and Eric. It was such a joy to be part of their beautiful celebration and bring a little taste of home to their special day. 🇵🇭

Happy 17th Birthday, Aeden! 🎉

Stay humble, keep an open mind, and always choose optimism. You have more potential than you realize, and when you focus on what truly matters, there is no limit to what you can achieve. The world is full of opportunities, but only you can unlock them through hard work, determination, and perseverance. As Papa would say, lock in!

Always remember that your character, kindness, and integrity will take you further than any achievement ever could. Dream big, stay true to yourself, and never stop learning and growing.
