What cakes did we bring last weekend to the CAKE PICNIC ®? Strawberry Shortcake: Vanilla cake with strawberry buttercream and fresh strawberry compote. My sister loves Rhubarb so, I made her a vanilla cake with spiced buttercream and a strawberry rhubarb compote. She even matched her cake! 😆 This is a busy season with many plates spinning and not spinning very well to be completely honest. But, I’m so glad I took the time to go. And extra special to have that time with my sister. Tell me, what flavor would you bring?

Happy 250th Birthday America! Built out of an idea with courage, bravery and determination. Today we celebrate and reflect on the freedoms we enjoy daily. I am forever grateful for this country and to all those who have fought to defend her. A place that birthed the courage to start my own business and dare to succeed.
