Meet the Artist: Samantha Samantha Kasprowicz is a lens-based artist whose work explores place, identity, and ageism faced by women.

In Ripe Fruit, bananas become metaphors for the aging female body, challenging society’s tendency to overlook older women. Through painted, hand-cast bananas and found fabrics, she creates theatrical still lifes exploring aging, visibility, and invisibility.

Finch Finch! is our Morning baker! They are the one that make sure you pastries are ready first thing in the morning! For their showcase they highlighted their love of tea and seasonal fruit. A Jasmine tea infused whipped cream sits atop a bright blackberry compote and tender jasmine shortcake. Along with showcasing their baking talents they will be showing some of their paintings!

We’re excited to be a part of the PNA’s 30th anniversary PhinneyWood Art Walk! This is Coyle’s first time participating and we have so much to share! We’re hosting Samantha Kasprowicz whose unique blend of photography/sculpture will fill our space on Friday 8/14 6pm-9pm and Saturday 12pm-5pm. Come say hi, meet the artist, check out the bakers showcase, specialty beverages prepared by our baristas, and other paintings and photographs by Coyle’s Bakeshop team members! With 2 miles of art along Phinney and Greenwood there is so much to explore.

Cecilia Cecilia Suksawat is our Kitchen Manager here at Coyle’s. She has been with us for 9 years. For her Artwalk showcase she has chosen to highlight peak summer produce with a Cream puff filled with a sweet corn crème legere, peach compote and topped with a cornmeal craquelin.
