Your wedding cake should be beautiful, delicious, and thoughtfully built for the full reality of your wedding day, not just the first photo.

This one was for a very dear little sister, and I knew it would have a longer-than-typical day ahead: early morning setup (since I would be on site all day), photos, ceremony, and hours on display before cutting.

Butter-based cakes need time at room temperature to become soft, flavorful, and everything cake should be. But this cake has delicious but a soft caramel filling also means I needed to plan for stability to avoid any sliding, leaking disasters.

So, blue finish you see is white chocolate ganache. Ganache reinforces each tier, keep the caramel where it belongs, and make serving a little less likely to become a blue-cake situation for the guests.

These are the details most couples never need to think about, and that’s the point! Your baker should be considering travel, venue conditions, display time, cutting time, and structure so that when it is time to serve, your cake is still as good as it looked when it arrived. 🫶🏻

I’ve had a few people ask if I’m returning to the farmers market this year, so I wanted to share an update.

Last season, the market taught me just how unpredictable turnout can be… and how much product, time, and energy can be lost because of it. I LOVED donating the overages to some very happy police officers and firemen - but it still meant long bake days and two very exhausted bakers.

THE GOOD NEWS:
I know you love single‑serving options, so I’m working on pre‑order‑only pop‑ups on specific dates, with individual slices and curated dessert selections you can reserve in advance.

I’d love to know what you’d be most excited to see from me next:

Curated dessert bar boxes
Seasonal‑flavor cake slice drops
Single brownies, cookies, and bars
Signature sauces (like salted caramel)
Cinnamon rolls
Other small‑batch treats you can reserve in advance and pick up on specific pre-order

Basically: you get the desserts you actually want, and I get to stop guessing how many might stroll by my table.

Let me know below!

Spring weddings in a Bridgerton‑inspired garden tent might actually be my love language. I cried a little on the inside when I walked in to deliver this cake. It was just stunning. Soft pastels, vintage chairs, a custom bar backdrop, florals by and the dreamiest little details all around this reception space made the perfect backdrop for their buttercream‑draped tiers and floral cupcakes.

Cake Flavor: Browned Butter Raspberry - just like their engagement party cake ❤️

My wedding season began last weekend with this classy lady. She’s a true vanilla-almond White Wedding cake, filled with a sweeter American buttercream and wrapped in silky smooth Swiss Meringue buttercream.

I was torn between textured edible paper or my signature palette knife florals for this styled shoot at the lovely (brand new!) venue, .

In the end, I chose the buttercream. >

You won’t find this one on Pinterest. I took a few sparks of inspiration and then let my own hands do the work. There’s something about a monochromatic look that lets the texture do all the talking. I have so much more to share from this day. But first, this lady deserves a solo moment in the feed.

Today I recreated this beautiful cake for a surprise 50th anniversary celebration, side by side with the original from their wedding day.

I love celebrating new marriages and their fresh beginnings, but there’s something truly sacred about marriages that have stood the test of time. Fifty years of grace, commitment, forgiveness, and unwavering love. What a beautiful reflection of God’s design for marriage.

Congratulations to this precious couple! Cheers to a covenant kept and a legacy built.
