I was torn between textured edible paper or my signature palette knife florals for this styled shoot at the lovely (brand new!) venue, .

In the end, I chose the buttercream. >

You won’t find this one on Pinterest. I took a few sparks of inspiration and then let my own hands do the work. There’s something about a monochromatic look that lets the texture do all the talking. I have so much more to share from this day. But first, this lady deserves a solo moment in the feed.

Today I recreated this beautiful cake for a surprise 50th anniversary celebration, side by side with the original from their wedding day.

I love celebrating new marriages and their fresh beginnings, but there’s something truly sacred about marriages that have stood the test of time. Fifty years of grace, commitment, forgiveness, and unwavering love. What a beautiful reflection of God’s design for marriage.

The Online Bakeshop is officially updated! 🛒✨

Think of this as your go-to for the “anything but basic” basics. We’re talking Plain Jane cakes, everyday celebration cakes, cheesecakes, and desserts by the dozen. No back-and-forth emails and no waiting for a quote. You just browse, pay, pick your date, and you’re done. It’s the streamlined, “I need a dessert and I need it soon” process you’ve been asking for.

THE STAR OF THE UPDATE:
The Limited Edition White Chocolate Raspberry Cookie.

I originally made these for a wedding and they were the first to disappear. They are a bit tedious to make, but the rave reviews made it worth it. We’re talking a rich, buttery base, fresh raspberries, white chocolate, and a garnish of dried raspberry pieces.

I’ve also loaded the shop with brownies and my signature cookies. Keep your eyes peeled as I’ll be adding more cake designs and desserts over the next few weeks!

A little sneak peek of what I’ve been working on for the bridal expo! I took one of my designs from last year and decided to dial up the texture. Between the wafer paper layers and the intricate linework, my hands were definitely kept busy this week.

Since it’s a display cake, I’m just winging it with my phone camera for now. Can’t wait to have the “real” photos madelater. If you’re at the expo this weekend, come say hi and see all this texture in person!
