This is our plan. We aren't where we can do this yet but one day I hope to.
When this happened to me I was lucky to have my parents to help me. So many women have no one to help. Most places won't allow pets either. We hope to eventually have our own apartments or place where they won't have to leave their animals behind. That's the dream anyway.

This adorable hand piped cake was for a police academy graduation. Half sheet cake, Half vanilla, half chocolate. I heard that the man that's graduating loved it. It definitely gets a good laugh.

My parents shop Ma and Pa's Trading Post is also on there in antiques and furniture I bet. My aunt is in auto for her shop St Joe upholstery. My uncle is in heating and cooling GL Smith heating and cooling.

Hello friends,
I wanted to talk to everyone about something I've wanted to do for awhile and do often with left over desserts but I really can't afford to do so on a regular basis. Left over desserts are often donated to local businesses who have been friendly to us or places like fire stations ect.

I want to do cakes free of charge for kids in families who can't afford one. I'd like to for adults too because they need something to make them feel special too.
I've also wanted to do them for the kids at the noyse home and the families at the ywca. As you may know helping domestic violence survivors is part of our mission.

These wouldn't just be a plain regular cake with happy birthday on it, it would be totally custom to them with their favorite things.

All cakes would be delivered by us and video taped so everyone could see the joy we so love to see when someone gets a surprise like this. It really is why we make cakes and things, the joy it brings to others.
When someone's face lights up when they see their cake, it is pure magic. You can opt out of being video taped ( for safety reasons)and we would only do the before and after or not show faces.

In order to do this we would need donations. I am not sure if anyone would like to be a part of that or not but I'd love to hear your feedback. If I could do all cakes for free I definitely would because I love making people happy and helping you do that also.

Did someone say brownies?!🍫😱😋

I am talking to the 40+ crowd right now, I don't know how many of you remember a little bakery called the sugar shack that had the best brownies in town. These are as close as I can get to those so if you know you know.

I only have a few left. These are huge, completely made from scratch and so rich. Get a bakery style brownie or a brownie bite cup for $7. Hurry before they are gone!

Treats will not be available today as my dad is having back surgery. Brownies will be available Friday and mini cakes at request. Cupcakes, scones, cheesecakes and cookies and sample boxes are available upon request also. Everything is baked fresh when you order. We hope to add new things later this week and focaccia bread will be available next week.

Next week we will have brownies regular and frosted available. These are old fashioned made from scratch. Think 1980s and before.

We will also have mini bento cakes that will be themed. So the ribbon you see will be what the cakes will have on them. I can't wait to make the lemon and cherry but excited to do them all. Which one would you pick?

So, we have run into a snag. Messages coming through on Facebook are not showing up right away. I have tried to check everything I can notification wise on my phone and computer and that is not the problem.
A more reliable way to contact me is by texting 816-646-5915, if I am busy I won't be able to take calls so leave me a message. Text is the fastest way.

The next option is at the top of my page, I have pinned a link to my baksey store. You can click it and put in all your information. Cake, cupcakes, servings and even pictures of what you want. Just fill out the quote form and I can see that right away.
I try to check messages twice a day. In the morning and in the evening. So I might not be able to get to your message the same day.
If you are wanting something same day messages that come through the night before or first thing in the morning I should see first.
I try to check around 10:00am and then again about 7:00 to 8:30pm.

Hopefully this helps me get your messages faster. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we iron out some kinks.
