So this was a baby shower cake, it came out really nice but it wasn’t what she wanted it was supposed to have baby elephants and a few other things. I’m writing this post because I feel it’s necessary not only for but also for my customer. Life happens sometimes out of our control and unfortunately life threw me a blow two days before it and 6 others were due. I was on my way to drop this cake off and my car started jumping like it wanted to kill as we were pulling in the driveway the cake slid and when my mom went to grab it the cake box damaged it worse than the fall. Then on top of that I hurried and threw my phone on dash to try to catch it as well and busted my windshield with my phone. I wanted to go home and fix it but they were about to head out to the shower. My heart was broken because this never happened before, I let my customer down , and my windshield is busted. Then had to go home and make 6 more cakes. I was so discouraged. I do apologize to my customer and pray they understood my situation. I will be offering them another cake free of charge whenever they need one. This is a long post but I believe in accountability when it comes to things like this in life and to my customer I’m truly sorry for what this may have don’t to your special day.
