Howdy my lovely bakery peeps!
Just a reminder that this weekend is the Andrew County Missouri Fair which includes Fair on the Square 😁

🍪WE WILL BE OPEN NORMAL HOURS🍪
(And at Pony Express Farmers Market like usual)

A few of the roads around the bakery will be closed off for carnival rides and the main stage so just be aware that you might have to park on the side streets. 4th street on our east side of the corner will remain open as main street will have a few events it'll be closed for.
As stated above, our hours will not be changed for the event like they were last year. Unfortunately the fair dates, Father's Day, and Vacation Bible School meal prep all hit the same weekend, so we will be food prepping on Saturday after the shop closes to keep Sunday free to spend with dad.
Speaking of dad, y'all will get to see him in the afternoons next week! He will be holding down the fort while my sis and I cook for about 350 youngins and volunteers, so be sure to stop in and say hi 😊 I'll keep the menu as consistent as I possibly can, but with having vbs to also cook for, we may not have quite as many flavor varieties as usual. Feel free to call the shop ahead or message on here if there's a speciality flavor I rotate normally that you want to make sure is in stock.

📜Recipe of the Week📜
Also my favorite way to use fresh parsley 😉

Garlic Chicken Pasta

1lb spaghetti pasta
1/2 cup olive oil
1/4 sliced or minced fresh garlic
1/2 cup butter
Juice of one whole lemon
2 small bunches of fresh parsley(about 1/2 cup when chopped)
Black pepper to taste
Paprika or red chili flakes to taste
Salt(for Pasta water and seasoning adjustment)
2 cups chopped rotisserie chicken

Cook spaghetti according to package directions to al dente, drain and set aside reserving a cup of the pasta cooking water. In a large skillet, lightly toast garlic in the olive oil until golden brown. Turn off heat and add the butter, cooked pasta, lemon juice, parsley, and seasonings. Toss with the reserved pasta water to create a creamy sauce and then add the chopped rotisserie chicken. Serve hot with garlic bread 🥖 and side salad 🥗
Also very good served with Italian panko crusted pork chops in place of the chopped rotisserie chicken.

Something I've been wanting to do for quite some time is a bakery + produce basket. Now that we're teamed up with AnB Produce, we're working on making that happen! So, aside from a mix of fresh produce that's in season, what kind of baked goods would you like to see paired up? Sweet breads? Cookies? Sourdough? Regular yeasted breads? Perhaps tiered purchase options that have a base of produce and your choice of sandwich style bread, and then add-ons of sweets or specialty flavored sourdough?

💥 SURPRISE TIME! 💥

I've been waiting all year for this, and we finally have fresh produce! We're teaming up with our amazing friends over at AnB Produce to bring the freshest high quality produce to you right here in Savannah 😁 Everything is grown on their farm just a few miles away in Cosby. With it being early in the harvest season, we have a limited quantity of herbs and bok choy to start out with and will be adding a lot of variety as more is ready to pick 😊

On the bakery side of things, we have the table full of half price goodies from the freezer along with fresh cinnamon rolls, plain sourdough, and bagels 🥯 😋

We also still have a few planters from Treasure Gardens, LLC available for a little bit longer, so grab one while you can!
