Hello everyone! And welcome all new followers. My name is Alyssa Hope Martinez, the owner and face behind For the Love of Learning SETX . ❤️

I moved to the Southeast Texas area with my husband and daughter from Padre Island in the beginning of July 2022.

Before becoming a mother, I served as an Assistant Service Director for a multimillion-dollar company, where I oversaw operations across multiple locations throughout South Texas. In this role, I was responsible for ensuring all employees received proper training, maintaining high operational standards, and driving profitability at each site under my supervision. I specialized in sales and customer relations, with a strong background in building lasting client relationships, identifying customer needs, and delivering tailored solutions. Over the course of my experience, I developed an expertise in communication, negotiation, and problem-solving, which allowed me to not only meet but exceed expectations. My focus has always been on creating meaningful connections with people, fostering loyalty, and ensuring every interaction contributes to a positive brand experience.

Prior to my career, I attended college to pursue my love for helping others. I deep dove into all things Psychology, learning all about behavior and mental processes. The more knowledge I gained, the more I wanted to learn. I quickly found myself in Philosophy, studying ethics, both classical and contemporary ethical theories, learning moral concepts and how to apply ethical principles to real-world issues. The knowledge I gained in Speech Communication truly helped me excel in the business world and as a business owner. Of all the courses I took Lifespan growth and development, exploring how factors such as physical, psychological, social, and cultural elements shape a developing individual, was my favorite. Studying human development from conception to death, examining physical, cognitive, social, emotional, and cultural influences at different life stages was a true eye-opening experience that deepened my appreciation for the ways people grow, change, and adapt throughout life. The opportunity for continued education is a true gift, and I am deeply grateful for the ability to keep expanding my knowledge and growing both personally and professionally.

Making the choice to go from an intense corporate business woman to a stay at home mom when our little one was born was an easy decision. We moved to SETX when she was just 9 months old. When she was two years old I found she was a bit speech delayed in how she pronounced certain words. I was told by her pediatrician back home to look into the benefits of sensory learning / Montessori. And I did! Within 3 months of doing Montessori /sensory learning and my daughter was speaking clearly and pronouncing words correctly. I realized that so many children needed this service and For the Love of Learning SETX was born.

I started this business with a vision to uplift and strengthen our children and community through education, connection, and shared experiences. My mission goes beyond offering classes and programs—I am dedicated to creating opportunities where families can learn, grow, and thrive together. By fostering curiosity, encouraging meaningful interactions, and supporting lifelong learning, I hope to build a stronger, more connected community where every child and family feels valued, inspired and set up for success.

The past two years of operating my business have been an incredible blessing and a deeply rewarding journey. I am truly grateful for the many opportunities this business has given me—not only to connect with so many wonderful families and community members, but also to witness the joy and growth of the amazing children I’ve had the privilege to serve. Along the way, my daughter and I have built countless meaningful friendships and lasting connections that have enriched both our personal and professional lives. This experience has reaffirmed my passion for creating spaces where learning, play, and community come together, and I look forward to continuing to grow and serve for many years to come. Follow us on Facebook, we look forward to serving you and your family.

Thank you,

Alyssa Hope Martinez
