One thing I pride myself on is being kind and caring toward my customers. I go out of my way to help people whenever I can. I often give extras, donate my time and products, and do everything in my power to make sure my customers are happy. I also keep my prices lower than I probably should because I want families to be able to afford quality cakes and treats for their special moments.
I genuinely love what I do, and I love serving my community. However, kindness should never be mistaken for weakness. While I will always do my best to accommodate others, I also deserve to be treated with respect.
Lately, some of the comments, messages, and interactions I’ve received have been hurtful and disrespectful. Behind every order is a real person who works hard, cares deeply, and is doing their best. I’m a stay at home mom. While running this business and I am not perfect by any means. I will always own up to my mistakes. I am always willing to help, communicate, and find solutions, but I will not accept being spoken to poorly or treated without basic respect.
I will continue to be kind, generous, and give my customers the best service I can. All I ask in return is the same respect and courtesy that I give to others.
