I’ve been baking and selling from home for about three years. This year, things really took off when we moved into our first home on Hancock Street, hence the name Hancock Harvest! Our stand at the end of our driveway is where I get to share all my homemade breads, cookies, and jams with my neighbors. I’m a stay-at-home mom of four little boys, and my kids love to help me bake, adding their own sp

ecial touches to what we make. They even run their own lemonade and hot cocoa stands, already showing a little entrepreneurial spirit of their own! I’m married to a firefighter, who dedicates himself to keeping our surrounding community safe every day. His commitment to helping others inspires me in my own small business journey, and it’s a big part of why we believe so strongly in the power of community support. I’ve lived near Port Huron my whole life, with roots in a family that’s been part of this area for generations. In addition to baking, I love making felt crafts, exploring farmer’s markets, and supporting other small businesses. I believe small businesses are the heart of any community, and I’m so grateful for everyone who supports ours!

VERY GOOD NEWS ABOUT LIZZY! 🐾 (who is not my dog by the way for everyone asking, this is a friend's dog I was posting for)

A safe place has been found for Lizzy, and she is going somewhere where she will be loved, cared for, and given the attention she deserves. Her UTI will be treated, and her other medical issues will also be addressed so she can get the veterinary care she needs and start feeling better.

Thank you to everyone who shared her story, offered help, kept her in your thoughts, or simply cared enough to ask about her.

I know this post isn't about baked goods this time, but this is important.

This is Elizabeth, "Lizzy" for short. She responds to both! Lizzy is 10 years old. The current owners have had an unfortunate series of events which led them to having to move, and they unfortunately cannot bring her with them, one of the reasons being the cost of her medical treatment for the UTI and incontinence she has been struggling with. They don't want to put her down, she may have a few good years left. They would prefer to rehome her.

Anybody looking to care for a senior dog? All negative comments will be deleted.

Hey everyone! 😊

I'm sure a lot of you have noticed that Hancock Harvest has been pretty quiet lately.

One reason? Summer! Turning our oven on in this heat is just... yuck. 🥵 Between that and remodeling our basement, we've decided to take a little break for the summer.

The good news is we'll be back sometime this fall, refreshed and ready to start baking again! We've also got some exciting new things in the works.

We just finished remodeling our walk-in pantry, and it's only the beginning of what we've been working on behind the scenes.

Thank you all for your patience and continued support. We can't wait to get back in the kitchen and share what's coming next. See you this fall! 🍂

Hi everyone! I'm so sorry, but the day got away from me already and I haven't baked yet. I have a lot of appointments today, but we will be open tomorrow instead of Wednesday!

Today was such a special day for us at Hancock Harvest. ❤️

We brought a simple menu to the farmers market today. Homemade zucchini bread, banana bread, and fresh baked cookies, and you all SOLD US OUT.

Seeing people come back for more, hearing all the kind words, and watching our baked goods go home with so many families means more to us than we can put into words. Everything we make is homemade from scratch with a whole lot of love, and the support from this community is helping our little dream grow bigger every week.

To everyone who stopped by our stand today, thank you for supporting our family bakery. We’re so grateful for every purchase, every compliment, and every person who chose to support local.

We can’t wait to bake even more for you next time. ❤️🍞🍪
