I woke up today with an overly full to-do list: plan, prep, make dough, bake, ice, repeat.
Instead, I've spent most of the day at the emergency vet with Meatball, our 3 year old English Bulldog. After a whirlwind of tests, treatments, and a $6,000+ vet bill, we've been hit with the completely unexpected diagnosis of heart failure. He's in the ICU tonight.
To say we're shocked is an understatement.
I'm heartbroken, exhausted, and honestly feeling a little sick over it all. Tonight, I'll be putting on a brave face for my kids (we're NOT telling them until we speak to the cardiologist tomorrow) and heading back into the kitchen to finish the orders I have scheduled this week. We are waiting for a call from the cardiologist tomorrow and hoping for more answers.
In the meantime, I'm asking for prayers for our sweet pup and our family as we navigate what comes next. And if I'm slower than usual replying to messages, I hope you'll extend a little grace.
Please know that all orders currently on my calendar will be completed. ❤️
Thank you for your patience, your kindness, and your prayers. We appreciate them more than you know. 💔🐾
