Today is NICU Nurse Day — September 15th! 🩷

Both one of my best friends and I have had the experience of being NICU moms, so we know firsthand just how much of an emotional roller coaster the NICU can be. The fear, the uncertainty, the actual exhaustion, and the constant praying that your baby will pass every small test… it’s an experience that stays with you forever.

When my friend had the idea of gifting cookies to the NICU nurses, I was SO excited to jump on board. What better way to celebrate some of the true superheroes of the world than by showering them with homemade goodies?! 🍪🩷

NICU nurses do so much more than care for tiny babies. They support parents on some of the hardest days of their lives, celebrate the smallest victories, answer endless questions, offer reassurance when we need it most, and love on babies when their families can’t always be there.

So today, I’m incredibly grateful for the NICU nurses who cared for our babies and for every NICU nurse who continues to show up with compassion, patience, and love for these tiny fighters and their families.

Thank you will never be enough. 🩷
